When Radio Flyer comes to mind it takes me back to when I was a child and trust me that was a long time ago. Putting age aside the memory I have of Radio Flyer is from the fact that it took several years but Dad finally bought us a Little Red Radio Flyer Wagon. To me there was nothing my brother and I couldn’t do with that wagon. So I guess that should speak volumes about a company that continues to produce quality toys.
Today I have grandchildren that are at the age where they can appreciate good toys and it is my pleasure to search out and find the toy that will capture their attention and hold it. For the boys and each one is unique in his own way but would share their favorite toy with their brothers, I chose #79 the Big Flyer for Crandon and Bubby and a trusty steed for Rustin. Now you are going to say that is not three but wait Friana needed a toy too.
The Big Flyer is just the thing for the child who has a lot of speed and strength in his legs like Crandon or for the energetic catch me if you can Bubby. The seat adjusts to accommodate the difference in height and it has the unique look of a racer bike with its Big wheel and rear slicks. The real chrome handlebars with comfortable molded handgrips, the rear pennant for child safety and realistic gauges complete the look that keeps the boys waiting their turn to ride. For Rustin Radio Flyer has what they call the #301 Liberty Spring Horse. It has motion activated sound, an authentic saddle and built in safety straps. I selected this for Rustin even though he is not quite three because it will be around until he outgrows it and the stirrups adjust so his four and six year old brothers can ride it too. The only problem we have is trying to keep him from going too fast since he treats it like a real horse!
Now the Prima donna we chose the Ultimate Family Wagon for Friana and trust me the only one riding in it will be Friana. She will fold one seat down make herself comfortable and wait for one of her brothers to pull her wherever she wants to go. She enjoys the protection from the sun and the fact that she can take many things in this wagon including her computer as well as something to drink and/or snacks. I like its seat belts, wheels designed to prevent it from turning over, and the fact that it will hold a lot of things when we are going on an outing. If you talk just right to the Prima Donna she will let you have a ride; after all she has been taught to share. Radio Flyer after ninety years you are still making memories that will last a lifetime.
